Instilling Confidence and Self-Love, One Affirmation at a Time

We believe in the power of positive affirmations and meaningful conversations to help every child feel valued, confident, and loved.

Growing up, I struggled with insecurity. My parents, who escaped the Cambodian genocide, raised us in survival mode—because that’s all they knew. They worked tirelessly to build a better future for us, but in the process, self-expression and confidence weren’t always prioritized.

In 2018, after a difficult period in my life, I turned inward. I started my self-love journey with deep self-reflection, listening to Wayne Dyer, Sadhguru, and exploring spiritual growth. Affirmations became a key part of my transformation, helping me rewire my mindset and build a healthier relationship with myself and those around me.

Then, in 2019, my four-year-old sister asked me, “Peter, am I pretty?” That moment stopped me in my tracks. I didn’t want her to grow up questioning her worth the way I did. So, we started a daily ritual: mirror affirmations before school. What began as a small practice transformed her—today, she’s radiant, confident, and full of love, a reminder that affirmations work.

That experience inspired the Affirmation Matchdeck—a tool designed to make self-love easy, natural, and fun. Through play, kids and adults alike absorb positive self-talk effortlessly, without the awkwardness that can come with traditional affirmations.

We created this game to help others on their self-love journey—just like affirmations helped my sister. Whether you’re playing alone or with loved ones, every match is a chance to pause, reflect, and uplift yourself.

Now, we send out every deck with love and intention, hoping to spark that same transformation in others.
